Rashmi Bharadwaj

Rashmi Bharadwaj, daughter of Sudha and Ravi, was initiated into Bharatanatyam through Akila Iyer at the tender age of five. When she was nine, Rashmi was fortunate enough to learn from Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy over summer workshops. Over the years, Rashmi has performed at multiple platforms such as the KFC Yum Center in front of the Dalai Lama, GEEVA Heritage Festivals, Belvedere at the India Day Festivals, and at the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago. Rashmi completed her Rangapravesha under Dr. Mala Shashikanth at India the summer of 2013.

Rashmi is an incoming junior at duPont Manual HS of Louisville, Kentucky. She excels at academics and extracurricular activities earning multiple recognitions at the state level. Rashmi avidly conducts research for science fair and currently has an internship at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Aside from academics, Rashmi learns Indian Carnatic Vocal Music, ballet and tap. In her free time, Rashmi loves to volunteer; she has earned over 200 hours from serving multiple different organizations. She also enjoys writing, drawing and hanging out with friends and her brother.
