Meghana Boojala

Meghana is a rising tenth grader from Loudoun County, Virginia. She attends the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and has been dancing since she was five-years-old under the tutelage of Mrs. Vani Ramesh, director of Srishti School of Dance. Besides learning Bharatanatyam, Meghana enjoys additional forms of dances such as Bollywood, Bhangra, hip-hop/contemporary and folk dances.

Meghana spends a lot of time choreographing dance for herself and other groups in her area to perform in local organizations. She received the opportunity to perform on several platforms such as the Wolf Trap Center for Performing Arts, the American Telugu Association, the Shakespeare Theatre, and in the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Meghana is also on her school’s debate and Model United Nations team. She co-leads her school’s Hope for the Homeless club, is a part of her school’s newspaper, and aspires to lead a career in business. In her free time, Meghana enjoys watching movies, choreographing dance, talking to her friends and family, and playing tennis.
