Preethi Ramamurthy has been learning Bharatanatyam from Smt. Vani Ramesh from the age of nine. She has performed at many cultural and communities as well as the Nation Cherry Blossom Festival held in Washington DC, Virginia State Democratic Party, the US Department of State, The Shakespeare Theatre, & the Thyagaraja Sabha, Mysore. She has attended several dance workshops conducted by Dr. Vasundara Doraswamy, Smt. Priydarshini Govind, Sri. N. Srikanth, & the Dhananjayans.

Preethi is a tenth grader with avid interests in academics and extra-curricular activities. Along with dance, Preethi learns Carnatic vocal music via Skype under the tutelage of Smt. Anuthama Murali, a noted violinist and disciple of Kanyakumari. Furthermore, she plays the cello along with her high school orchestra. Additionally, Preethi has been learning Sanskrit through Samskrita Bharati for the past five years. After completing her Arangetram this past August, Preethi has joined Daniel Phoenix Singh’s dance company, Dakshina.
