Sanjana Mahesh

Sanjana Mahesh is a rising high school senior attending Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville KY. She started learning bharatnatyam at the age of 5 with Smt. Akila Iyer and completed her “Arangetram”, or solo dance debut under the tutelage of her Guru Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy in 2013. Besides Bharatnatyam, Sanjana also performs Indian folk dance, Bollywood, jazz and contemporary western dance.

She is a high achieving Principal's list student pursing her IB Diploma and participates in her school’s ACapella Choir, Academic Team and the prestigious Ambassador program. She has a great love for Musical Theater and her experience with theater includes lead roles in productions of Sound of Music, Once Upon a Mattress, How to succeed, The Wiz, Grease and many more.

In 2014, Sanjana was honored to be one of the few students selected for the prestigious Governors School for the Arts (GSA) scholarship award in the state of Kentucky for excellence in musical theater. Sanjana is honored to be performing with Dr. Vasundara doraswamy and would like to thank her family and friends for all their support.
